Blades are used in the creation of Aruvals and currently serve no other purpose.
Higher tier blades deal more damage but the diamond blade is currently the most durable when made into an aruval.

The Iron Blade is made with 4 iron ingots and can be crafted on a normal workbench.
Diamond Blade Recipe
The Diamond blade is made with 4 diamonds and can only be created on a Bone Anvil.
Obsidian Blade Recipe
The Obsidian Blade is made with a Diamond Blade and 3 obsidian in a shapeless recipe. The Obsidian Blade can only be made on a Bone Anvil.
